Objective


To offer my continuing experience in the maritime industry to parties interested in establishing a mutually beneficial business relationship.


Experience


1985 - Date: Various Employers - Both Union and Non-union.

Unlimited Mates / Oceans Masters license, Tankerman PIC, Bosun / AB.

· Chief Mate / Safety & Training Officer aboard 1200 passenger gambling ship.

· Third Mate / Mate aboard Tankers, Tugs and Barges, OSV’s, and Hopper Dredges.

· Captain of fourteen different charter / dining / sightseeing vessels ranging in size from 60

feet to 226 feet with capacities from approximately 50 to 1000 passengers.

· Captain / Operations Manager for six luxury dinner yachts.

· Captain of hydrographic survey launches for Defense Mapping Agency.

· Delivery Captain of private yachts.

· Bosun, in charge of deck crew.- Able Seaman, part of deck crew.

Shipboard duties include:

· The safe navigation and handling of the vessel.

· Voyage planning, maintaining the vessels charts and publications and insuring compliance with all USCG, Federal and International regulations.

· Act as ships safety officer.

· Oversee and perform the loading, handling, stowage and discharge of various types of both dry and liquid cargos.

electrical systems, electronics and related accessories on virtually every type of vessel.

· Perform hull, deck, and structural maintenance and repair on wood, fiberglass and steel

· Own and operate all common and most industry specific hand tools, power and air tools and cutting & welding equipment.

World Traveler / Bum

· Worked the standard array of odd jobs while traveling around after exiting the navy.



1977 - 1983 United States Navy

Boatswains Mate-Second Class Petty Officer

· Salt boat Coxswain, operated an array of small boats from 24' to 128'.

· Petty Officer in Charge (POC) of Fighting fourth Division. In command of 28 men.

· Responsible for scheduling and overseeing maintenance on 8 boats.

· Operated shipboard and aircraft crane, forklift, various power/hand tools.


Education


High School, Some College, Many industry related classes, Many non industry related classes, Almost 30 years in the school of hard knocks on deck.


Certification


U.S.C.G. Unlimited Third Mates / 100 ton Oceans Masters License. U.S.C.G. Unlimited Merchant Mariners Document. 1995 STCW Compliant - all endorsements.

All MSC endorsements including anti-terrorism, small-arms and CBRD. Current Advanced shipboard firefighting - First aid/CPR provider. Factory Certified Repair Technician, various systems

PADI Certified SCUBA Diver, USPA Licensed Skydiver, Ordained Minister.
