1st Mate / Relief Captain, 202 days at sea as Captain.

Duties: Watches at sea, organizing overall maintenance, updating medical supplies and equipment, electronic navigation equipment, inspecting and maintaining safety equipment, presenting safety lectures before each cruise to scientists, & run all drills.



Position: Dec 1998 - June 1999: 2nd Mate

Duties: Watches at sea, correcting charts, navigation tracks, correcting navigation publications, helping with the overall maintenance of the ship.

Holding stations, working in currents, ship handling, very good with stability, comprehensive knowledge of weather.


 


Licensed 1600 Ton Master all Oceans since 1987.

Over 28 years at sea with increasing responsibility within the marine industry. Comprehensive knowledge of computers and electronic navigation equipment. Strong organizational skills, self-starter, and conscientious worker.
