• Mate of Steam of Motor Vessel: 1600 Gross Tons (Domestic), 3000 Gross Tons (ITC).

• Master of Towing Vessels upon near coastal waters.

• Radar Observer, unlimited.



Standards of Training, Certification, and Watch Keeping, expires 09-13-2008

• Master: not less than 200 Gross Tons (Domestic), 500 Gross Tons (ITC). Valid for costal voyages only. Uninspected towing vessels of not more than 300 Gross Tons (Domestic).

• Officer in charge of navigational watch (Mate): not more than 1,600 Gross Tons (Domestic), 3,000 Gross Tons (ITC).

• Proficient in the use of survival craft (life boatman).
