Objective
My objective is to find a long term position in the maritime industry. A perfect job for me would consist of minimum time on long sea hitches, perhaps working for a port, or a local tug/ferry/research vessel. Maybe even an administrative position or teaching within the maritime community.

CAPTAIN (still employed) I am responsible for the safe operation of the 130’ paddle wheeler on the Tennessee River. All maintenance work is either performed or supervised by me as well as crew training and scheduling.
MV Allison
FIRST OFFICER / NIGHT CAPTAIN (June 2006 – March 2007)
The Allison is a 220’ offshore supply vessel operating in the Gulf of Mexico. We spent fifteen days at sea per hitch servicing the U.S. oil rigs.
Catch My Drift & Mary B (April 2005-June 2006) CAPTAIN of the 85’and 55’ passenger vessels carrying up to One Hundred and Fifty people and three crew members out of Port Everglades, Fort Lauderdale, FL. During my time aboard these vessels we carried over five thousand passengers with a perfect safety record.
Miss Islamorada (January 04-March 05)
CAPTAIN of the party fishing vessel Miss Islamorada – This was a wooden vessel certified to carry 149 passengers on daily trips to the Florida Keys reef system. We ran out of the world famous “Bud & Mary’s “ marina.
Miss Trade Winds (11/00-11/03)
SECOND MATE / FIRST MATE of a sixty five foot Party/Fishing vessel. I started in 2000 at an entry level position and was quickly promoted to second, and then first mate with choice full time status. The position offered me the opportunity to develop many basic maritime skills and seamanship. My duties included painting, fiberglass work, and engine room maintenance as well as all cleaning and repairs. During this time I also was in school to become a Merchant Marine Officer.

I have had great success dealing with people and through years of transporting thousands of passengers have developed excellent communication skills. Also, having worked my way up through the ranks I have done just about every job that can be done on a vessel.
My wife and I would like to return to the east coast. I currently live in Knoxville TN, but would consider a position anywhere from below NJ to above NC. We would move for the right new job.
