Objective


After a great career as a skilled Captain with 12 years of experience aboard both private and charter yachts. I am now planning to enter into the commercial world. I am willing to do what ever it takes to get my foot in the door allowing me get out there and work hard and grow into a new career path. My goals are to work for and help to build a great team that will get the job done. I strive to create a professional and safe environment which promotes learning, good working relationships and longevity. I am committed to an enjoyable career as a professional mariner and continued success in the industry.


Experience


May 08 - Feb 09 Captain M.Y. “All In” 95' Broward; Private



Worked for the new owner addressing issues found in the survey. Maintained entire vessel interior, exterior and engineering with 1 crewmember while using survey as an extensive punch list for projects. Unfortunately the boat was mothballed until the owner recovers from the economic downturn.



Feb 99 - May 08 Captain M.Y. “Jefferson Beach” 95’ Broward; Private



Operated the yacht with a live-aboard owner and a crew of 1-2. Managed yard periods, engineering, boat accounts, and trip planning. Cruised the Bahamas, East Coast, Florida and Great Lakes. Worked closely with brokers to facilitate the sale of the vessel for the owner.



May 00 – Oct 07 Captain M.Y. “Ovation” and “Infinity” 143’ and 120’; Skipper Liner; Commercial



Operated both four-star “private event” commercial charter vessels. Responsible for the safety and enjoyment of up to 350 guests and 42 crew. Consulted regarding improvement of safety, security and training issues in an effort to improve and increase levels of service and guest satisfaction.

Aug 97 - Jan 98 First Mate M.Y. “Octopussy” 143’ Heesen; Charter; Cruised Mediterranean, Florida, Bahamas and a Trans-Atlantic via Dock Express



Responsibilities included exterior maintenance, navigational duties, supervision of water sports, guest activities and light engineering.
