Objective


Looking for a position in the maritime field that can utilize my breadth of experience within the industry. Positions of interest would be sport fishing captain, private captain, & captain or crew member aboard a marine research vessel.

Patriot Party Boats (FV Patriot II, Minute Man, & Independence) Falmouth MA. 2007 Season



Head Boat Fishing Charter Captain:

• Captained 4-8 hour charter fishing trips on 40-50 foot Coast Guard Inspected vessels holding 32-50 person capacities.

• Focus of charters was Striped Bass, Bluefish, & Bottom fish.

• Essential in booking trips as well as managing multiple boat bookings.

• Oversaw all maintenance performed on vessels.

• Instructed crew as well as passengers on all safety issues to mitigate the risk of injuries while on board.



Cool Running Charters East Falmouth, MA (1994-2006)



Owner operator & Captain:

• Managed a successful full service private charter operation for up to six passengers. The focus of the operation was to run tailored fishing trips to match individual fishing expertise.

• Inshore trips were designed to focus on anything from quantity for novices looking steady fishing action to experienced anglers looking for that 50+ pound Striped-Bass.

• Offshore fishing & canyon trips focused on large pelagic species which include Mako Shark, Thresher Shark, Tiger Shark, Bluefin Tuna, Yellowfin Tuna, Big Eye Tuna, Dorado, and Billfish.

• Catches of note: 1000 pound plus Bluefin Tuna, 1200 plus Tiger shark, 750 pound Mako Shark, 480 Thresher Shark.

• Grounded experience in all forms of bait rigging.

• Full knowledge of all IFGA rules.

• In charge of all operating procedures, vessel maintenance & marketing.

• Areas fished from Cape Ann to Florida with extensive offshore experience.

Councilor Aid:

• Councilor assisting clients to overcome drug & alcohol addictions.

• Main focus of position was to monitor clients while attending the treatment center.

• Performed check in duties including blood pressure, paperwork, & background information.



MacDougall’s Boat Yard, Falmouth, MA (April 1992 to Dec 1992)

Yard Technician of one of the largest full service marinas on the East Coast:

• Principal duties were finish/bright work, teak, preparation for painting Algrip, waxing interior & exterior, gel coat, and fiberglass work.



K-V Associates Falmouth, MA (1988 – 1990)

Geologist:

• Twenty one E’s relative to hazardous waste management, ground water flow studies, drilling operations, soil and water sampling, data analysis and report writing. Experience in gasoline and oil recovery.



Tuna Fishing Boat “Wigeon” Falmouth, MA (1987 to 1992)

First Mate:

• Handled all mate duties aboard a full time commercial rod & reel tuna/harpoon tuna fishing vessel.
