Professional Experience

September 2009- Present- “ United States Coast Guard” - Served on the Coast Guard Cutter “Seahawk” from Sept 2009- August 2012. Currently Stationed at Coast Guard Station Montauk, NY. Duties and Skills range from basic line handling to advanced search and rescue, precision navigation, precision boat handling, life saving skills, damage control, first aid and CPR, survival skills, and too many more to list. While doing so I operated vessels ranging from 20’ to 87’ in length. I was also a Coast Guard boarding officer and am trained with weapons and self defense, as well as knowing all Federal rules, regulations, and laws.



November 2008-September 2009- “Blue Ridge Logistics” Worked as a Delivery driver and appliance mover/ installer for a busy delivery company.

Duties: Delivery Driver, parts and appliance installer, appliance moving.



May 2008- July 2008 - “Randolph College Riding Center” Worked at a busy stable as a horse groom in Monroe, VA before my move back to Florida to pursue my boating career.

Duties: Feeding and grooming horses, Cleaning stalls, Treating wounds, Maintaining the barn, and much more.



April 2007- December 2007 - “Aurelia Ann” Ltd. Worked as first mate aboard 94’ motor yacht traveling up and down the eastern seaboard as well as to the Florida Keys and the Bahamas.

Duties: Clean vessel, Fueling, Navigation, Piloting, Watchstanding, Working with Lines, Engine Maintenance, and more.

January 2007- March 2007 - “Seagate Marine.” Worked cleaning and maintaining boats at a local storage dock during school.

Duties: Cleaning boats, pulling boats on trailers to different locations, and general boatyard maintenance.

November 2006- December 2006 - “UPS.” Worked as a Driver Helper during fast paced Christmas season.

Duties: Loading, Sorting, and delivering packages.



August 2005- November 2006 - “The Inn at Perry Cabin.” Worked in Guest Services department.

Duties: Help with luggage, Give tours, Assist guests with information, Serving drinks, and more.



August 2003- August 2005 - “Campbell’s Boatyards.” Worked as a yard worker in a busy boatyard.

Duties: Moving boats on trailers, Running a travel lift, painting, sanding, waxing, washing, varnishing, boat maintenance and repairs, custom boatbuilding and more…



December 2002- April 2003 - “Talbot County Community Center.” Worked as a Skate Guard on the ice.

Duties: Safety observer. Help skaters if necessary, Make sure the ice rink is a safe environment for all people.
