Full time Private Captain. Manage vessel and operate yacht while underway in accordance with all USCG regulations
and procedures. GMDSS operator. Execute all passage planning, navigation, operations, maintenance. Provide excellent service to the owners and guests while cruising. Maintain vessel in excellent condition, perform repairs while underway and at homeport. Develop comprehensive maintenance schedule for all mechanical and safety equipment. Supervise contractors performing maintenance to vessel. Keep vessel within operational budget. Supervised 2012 refit. Underway experience includes Maine to Florida Panhandle, including Long Island Sound, Chesapeake Bay as well as overnight passages. Employment pending on sale of yacht.
Jan. 2006-April 2006 M/V Cape May, Moran Towing of Charleston 107’ Harbor Tug Charleston, S.C.
Relief Deckhand aboard a Ship-Assist Tug in Charleston Harbor. Execute Captains orders by making fast to ships and
barges transiting Charleston Harbor. Stand watch in the wheelhouse. Perform safety checks to emergency equipment
in addition to taking part in drills. Perform maintenance to the tugboats. Left the company to take a Captains position in Florida.
May 2003-Sept. 2005 M/V Sea Screamer, Myrtle Beach Water sports 73’ Commercial Vessel Little River, S.C.
Full time Captain summer season of 2005. Relief Captain 2003-2004. Manage vessel and crew. Responsible for safe handling and navigation of vessel. Operate in accordance with all USCG regulations and procedures. Made 3 trips daily from ICW to Atlantic Ocean carrying approx. 10-15,000 passengers per season. Conduct safety drills with crew. Prepare vessel for annual Certificate of Inspection by USCG. Left the company to get married and moved to Charleston, S.C.
