Objective


Since I am an excellent ship handler I would profer to work aboard ship somewhere where my skills would be of benefit on a daily basis. I am a good teacher and instructor so I could also instruct in the marine industry. I am also a very good administrator and working as a port captain or marine superintendent would also be desireable. I have a better than average understanding of marine engineering which would also be usefull in liasing with engineers and shipyard technicians.

Education


I am a grade 12 graduate with physics chemistry and math majors. Grade 13(1st year university). I am also completed a 4 year navigation cadet officer training program which would be equivalent to about 2 years of college. I have also taken many career oriented courses required by employers and certification upgrades.

As a ship's master for over 20 years with crews in excess of 50 have the Human Resources experience to match including management of several different union contracts.

Fully conversant with MS Office programs and better than average computer literate and troubleshooting. As master have many years experience liaising with classification societies such as ABS, LLoyds, DNV as well as government ship safety surveyors.

Built a 48 foot wooden yacht; repair cars engines and body, Rebuilt several homes and have worked on new home construction sites. Cross country and downhill skiier. I am physically fit and live a very healthy lifestyle.
