Looking to find a job in the Southeast US. I have been a captain of privately owned sailing yachts for 15+ years. I have extensive experience in power boat upkeep and deliveries as well. I am a graduate from NY Maritime.
Experience
2005-Present Project Manager and Team Leader for a Grand Prix yacht racing
program. Management and decision making in all aspects of the
initial design and construction of a 1.3 million dollar project. Onsite
build and supervision, personnel recruitment, training and
vendor management. Day to day as well as long-term logistics and
planning. Financial management with an annual budget of
$500,000. Supervision of all ancillary equipment associated with
the program.
1995- 2004 Extensive experience in team building and leadership roles for
multiple professional race teams.
1989- 1991 Military service in the South African Defense Force. Selected for
accelerated junior officers program. Graduated 1990 as 2nd
Lieutenant. Recruited to teach anti tank warfare course at
Same junior officers training school. 1991 promoted to full
Lieutenant and made company commander 1 South African
Infantry Battalion.
