Served as captain with NY/NJ commuter ferry company in New York Harbor.
Experience in operating the following:
110 ft. 3 engine passenger converted crew boats, side and stern loader. (Propeller)
100 ft. 2 engine monohull bow loader. (Propeller)
100 ft Gladding Hearn INCAT design catamaran side loader with MJP/Bird Johnson Jets.
80 ft. 4 engine catamaran bow and side loader. (Hamilton Jets)
65 ft. 3 engine monohull bow and side loader. (Hamilton Jets).
Operated 34 different boats within the above categories.
Experience operating vessels at high speeds through 4 ft. plus seas, high winds, heavy rain, snow, white out conditions, fog, ice, etc.
Performed daily maintenance on boats which include:
Check all voids for leaks, debris, or suspicious artifacts.
Check all fluids on main engines, generators, and jet housings before initial startup and fill if needed.
Check all engines for leaks on initial startup and periodically through out the work day.
Check entire boat at the end of the day for any suspicious artifacts.
Insure that the boat is properly secured at the end of the day.
Supervised a crew of 1 to 3 deckhands, depending on the boats COI.
Enrolled in a Mandatory Drug Testing program required by the USCG.
Crack-A-Dawn Sport Fishing Charters, Highlands, NJ, April 1996-November 2004
Served as deckhand and captain on family owned and operated 44 ft. fishing vessel.
Provided safety instructions to customers.
Assisted customers with fishing equipment.
Bait and unhook catch for customer.
Filet and cleaned the catch at the end of the day.
