- Perform marine law enforcement activities on the waters of Ohio
- Operate and patrol on a variety of search and rescue patrol boats (from a 12 foot jon boat to a 29 foot catamaran)
- Responsible for the daily maintenance and operation of these vessels during a patrol shift
- Complete Vessel Safety Checks on recreational boats
- Respond to boating accidents and perform investigations
- Conduct vessel and motor theft investigations
- Provide search and rescue response on the water emergencies on both moving and flat water
