Captain 100T Master USCG Manager of vessel operation for Canaveral Pilots Assoc.

Objective


Seeking a full time position in the maritime industry in which I can excel in a business while exercising my extensive experience working as captain on many vessels ranging from 40'-160'.


Experience


Worked with Canaveral Pilots as manager of vessel operations for 14 years. While working a 6 day on 6 day off schedule, it allowed me to gain experience on a variety of different vessels, working a variety of different tasks. Please keep in mind, specific dates on certain jobs over lapse as I worked these different jobs while minting a full time position with Harbor Services, Canaveral Pilots Assoc.



07/01/2001 - 07/19/2014

Canaveral Pilots

Worked as manger of vessel operations. Duties including but not limited to; maintaining all compartments for each vessel, maintenance on a variety of marine Diesel engines, responsible for a crew of 5 other full time captains. Acquired an extensive knowledge working on a variety of marine Diesel engines above general maintenance p, but including general maintenance. Responsible for all marine electrical systems on board each vessel. Extensive knowledge on the use and function of almost all essential marine electronics. Also responsible for safe offshore transfers in all weather conditions. Basic management of crew scheduling, haul out yard periods and many more details that my position with the pilots required can be answered upon request.



2004-current

Captain of an 85' offshore fishing vessel. (Head boat)

Responsibilities included; safe navigation during an 8 hour fishing trip carrying up to 115 passengers and up to 5 crew members. Most all same responsibilities applied to this job as listed for Harbor Services.



2007-2010

Captain of a 110' supply/crew vessel that conducted offshore BSPs for submarines. Responsibilities included safe transfer of 100+ crew members to and from submarines stationed offshore Port Canaveral, transfer of store and food for subs. Also occasional emergency medical Evacuations off US submarines. As well as mostly all the same responsibilities as listed above but not limited to.



2001-2014

Captain for International Towing and Salvage.

Responsibilities included but not limited to towing and salvage of disabled vessels, crew changes for several different dredge companies, turbitity (water sampling) for dredge operations all over east coast of Florida and South Carolina. As well as many of the same responsibilities listed for Harbor Services plus many more can be stated upon request.



These are just a few of the different types of jobs I have had during my 15 year career at sea. All while maintaining a full time position as mentioned above with the Canaveral Pilots as Manager of Vessel Operations.

Skills include but not limited to; exceptional boat handling capabilities In all weather conditions. ACCIDENT FREE. General knowledge of a variety of marine Diesel engines. Crew management. 1000s of safe offshore transfers in all weather conditions. Extensive knowledge and use of all basic marine electronics; radar, chart plotters, VHF radio, some DP experience, AIS and etc. many more upon request if needed.


 


I am 34 years old Seeking a full time work position as captain or mate on any type of supply/crew vessel in a company in which I can use my experience gained to help productivity in that business as well as having the ability to excel within that business.
