Experience
Captain – 220’ Z-Drive, DP2 Offshore Supply Vessel
Accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the vessel. Sets high standards of personal and professional conduct to the officers and crew. Remain fully informed and adhere to all relevant laws, regulations, and directives affecting the operation of the vessel. Identify and prioritize maintenance and repair items. Responsible for the security of the vessel and for the safety of the crew and the vessel during emergency situations, and specifically for the establishment of any damage control, fire fighting procedures, and personnel assignment. Trains deck personnel in safe navigational and maritime practices and in the proper use of equipment to include alarm systems, fixed fire, smoke, flooding systems, security rounds and systems, and gangway watch procedures. Responsible for the operational readiness of the vessel and the stowage and condition of deck and liquid cargo.

Operated and maintained all shipboard deck machinery, including four cranes, anchor windlass and two davit systems. Maintained and preserved all topside spaces. Designated as primary fire team #1 nozzleman, Rescue Swimmer, and Fast Rescue Boat Coxwain. Underway Bridge watchstander. Acted as ship’s interpreter in Spanish speaking countries.
