Engineering & Project Management
• Conceived, designed & built the 46’ USCG Inspected Passenger Vessel in 2004/5. This ground-breaking design incorporated advanced composite construction and a fore & aft propulsion system. Project value +/- $300,000. Managed all aspects of project from conception to build-out, launch, commissioning and certification & placed in service.
• Acquired, designed & converted a former U.S. Navy Utility Boat into the 50’ USCG Inspected Passenger Vessel in 2003/4. This project was recognized as one of the “Boats of the Year” in 2004 by Maine Boats & Harbors Magazine. I conceived, researched, acquired, shipped, estimated, negotiated yard contracts, engineered, completed & delivered this vessel in all aspects of its complete re-fit.
• I am familiar with & can maintain all mechanical, propulsion, electrical & electronic systems aboard a variety of vessels.
