? Responsible for maintaining a 1200-foot Marine corps replenishment vsl run by the Merchant marines. Basic duties performed aboard vsl was to assist in bridge watch standards while underway in the Indian Ocean for on site relief of Marine corps members in the Gulf. This position was taken because of the incidents following the 9/11 events. In short it was my way of assisting.

? Responsible for safe navigation and operational readiness for two separate units. CGC Boutwell for a three year stent (Utilized as an asset in the Operations department, responsible for safe navigation of a 378 foot high endurance cutter, operating mostly in the Bearing Sea and off the coast of Mexico, homeported in Alameda Ca.) Second Tour was the CGC Ocracoke (Responsible for the safe operation of a 110 foot patrol vessel, in the capacity of the third in a chain of command of a crew of 18, as the Operations officer)
