Objective


To acquire a long term position as a Captain / Mate / AB on board a commercial vessel while continuing my education in the Maritime Industry.


Experience


? In my six years, I have spent four years with one captain.



(06/10-09/10) M/Y Sea Owl 124/36.5M Delta 307gt First Mate Atlantic NE Coast

? Responsible for upkeep of the vessel, using the Triton program.

? Hands on wheel time touch & go’s from the pier.

? Passage planning, LNTM, dockage, & Hiring of additional crew.

? MPIC- safety drills



(05/08- 06/10) M/Y Caprice 126’/ 37m Oceanco 264gt First Mate Florida, Bahamas and ICW

? Responsible for the completion of detailed weekly maintenance lists issued by the Captain

? Hands-on docking experience, navigated vessel in tight quarters (the New River)

? In charge of exterior, deck inventory, paint-touch ups, buffing / waxing and wood projects

? Knowledge of Awlgrip, Alexseal, and Interlux paint systems



(04/07-05/08) Freelance Captain / Mate, Atlantic East Coast, Bahamas, Caribbean & West Coast Central America.

? Deliveries, charters dinner cruises and day work.

? General Maintenance, detailing, wood-work



(11/05-01/07) M/Y Martha Ann 140’/ 41m Westship 295 gt Bosun promoted to First Mate Atlantic East Coast including inland waterways, Bahamas and the Caribbean

? Responsible for daily operation of vessel and staff

? Navigation, trip planning, watch schedules and the training of deck crew.

? Exterior, maintenance and light mechanical work

? Docking experience with captain’s assistance

? In charge of safety drills with captain’s assistance



(10/03-11/05) M/Y I Don’t Recall 118’/ 35m Denison Jet Drive 164 gt Martha Ann Atlantic East Coast, ICW, Bahamas and the Caribbean

? Responsible for the exterior appearance plus general maintenance

? Assisted with trip planning, navigation and watches

? Responsible for anchor operations including stern anchor and bridalling

? Oversaw contractors and yard periods
