Job Profile

As Master

? Ensuring efficient and smooth running of the vessel.

? Safe navigation, ensuring adherence to international rules and regulations.

? Managing commercial aspects of operation of the vessel (documentation, loading, carriage and preservation of cargo during sea passage etc).

? Organizing safety of the ship, its crew and cargo.

? Maintaining liaison with owners, contracting governments, charterers, port official and agents etc.

? Safeguarding interest of owner against claims from different parties.

? Ensuring health and hygiene on board.

? Organising bridge watches.

? Ensuring discipline on board and taking corrective action against any offending crew.

As Chief Officer

? Planning and execution of loading and unloading operations.

? Continuous monitoring of execution of operations.

? Planning of security & safety measures and training of crew on the same.

? Taking over duties of the Master in his absence.

? Assisting in complying with environmental policy.
