Presently live near Houston, Texas with an international airport and willing to work an equal time on and off schedule between 30 to 60+ days. Open to overseas assignments.


Experience


Over 33 years experience working on various types of vessels from tour boats, recreational dive and snorkeling, inland & ocean towing, OSVs, special purpose and research. Licensed Vessel Officer by the USGC since August 1982.

Resolve Marine Group, operating and managing a 207 ft. Multi-purpose Vessel used for Ocean Towing, 4 pt. Dive Support, Vessel Rescue and Oil Spill Response in the Gulf of Mexico and Caribbean. 4/09 to present.

Education


Have a high school education and continued maritime training.

Master of Steam or Motor Vessels of not more than 1600 Gross Registered Tons (Domestic) of not more than 3000 Gross Tons (ITC) upon Oceans; Also Master of Uninspected Towing Vessels upon Oceans and Western Rivers Expires: 2 November 2012



Radar Observer (Unlimited) Expires: October 2012



STCW Certificate; Capacity of Master limited to vessels of not more than 1600 Gross Registered Tons (Domestic Tonnage), 3000 Gross Tons (ITC Tonnage). Valid for service on vessels operating in the GMDSS system. Issued: 2 November 2007 at Kearneysville, WV.



USMM Document AB Unlimited. Expires: 2 November 2012



GMDSS Radio Operator License. Expires: 9 September 2010



Marine Radio Operator Permit. Expires: 1 September 2010

Skils


Other than the usual boating skills, I am capable of handling vessel and personnel management. Experience with DP systems, plus working with shipyards during vessel refits and computer literate with some networking knowledge


 


Prefer a two month on and off scheldule, but flexible and will entertain overseas assignments.
