Experience:



• Reviewed and tracked formal; and informal work package procedures requiring rigging to ensure that all recommended rigging requests were safe and within specifications

• Tested weight handling gear for strength by conducting vertical and horizontal pull tests at 100%- 125% of safe working load

• Experienced in determining the weight of a load by utilizing a dynameter

• Developed and planned rigging path for pumps, main sea water pumps, motors, and butterfly valves by determining size, shape, and location these objects

• Rigged and moved generators, cooling cores, reboilers, engines, and drill press machines with beam clamps, sub clamps, chain hoist falls, with single ply nylon, and triple ply nylon straps

• Installed rigging (dragline) to move cargo from storage place to hatch by fairland a wire pendant through snatch block

• Rigged a 15 ton forklift, JLG, utilizing bridle legs

• Ensured personnel rigging aloft wore safety harness with dyna-brake assemblies

• Applied basic knots such as a hitch used on logs, spars, and planks, bowline to put an eye in the center of a line, barrel hitch, clove hitch bowline on the bite of line, square knot to hoist and lower bulky objects

• Operated and signaled mobile cranes and overhead cranes

• Spliced Kevlar, double braided line, and three strand nylon

• Lockout/Tagout qualified

• Supervisor desk qualified-kept time for department or 50 personnel for the United States Navy
