Looking for a career change and am very excited about the opportunity to explore options in teh Maritime industry. I am management material and am very versed in team building and project management. I am most interested in trying out my sea leg for a spell as well.
Experience
2002-2004 Director of Research and Development, D&R Group of Atlanta, LLC.
My primary responsibilities was to take existing projects, define the concept, background research, determine the economic future of the industry and develop a working business plan.
In addition, I have set the path to the current General construction company by focusing on in-house development.
This ensured work for the construction company and a revenue stream from the commercial developments.
2003-2005 Founded and owned of Crown Development Group, LLC.
Along with Greg Greene and Lance Watson, I founded this development company with a niche emphasis on 10-20,000 square feet community strip center developments in the North Atlanta Area. Within 3-month of the formation, I identified 3-sites, negotiated the land deal, with the assistance of my partners secured the financing and consummated over $5,000,000.00 in land acquisition and construction loans to build three centers.
2004-2005 Founder and owner of crown Florida construction and Development, LLC.
As a result of Hurricane Ivan, Bob Sundius and I formed this company to specifically for the aid in restoring residential and commercial disaster areas in the Santa Rosa county, Florida area. Although, we focused on restoration and new construction, we managed to do over $1,000,000.00 in roofing jobs in six month. Our innovative thought in how we did such a feat begins by renting a warehouse/office space and calling in roofers and hired hands from Michigan to Louisiana. We provided housing, food, and work.

Woody Wolden, Mike Morrow, and I have formed these entities for different aspect of our companies. We have merged on land deals with Woody Wolden (owner of Top 10 Properties, a real estate company in Pensacola) with our current high-rise development deal in Panama City. Top 10 Construction was formed to focus on small residential tract development in Santa Rosa and Escambia County, Florida.

1981-1982 – Attended Southeast Louisiana University – Majored in Pre-Med and minored in Criminal Justice
1982-1984 – Attended Northeast Louisiana University – Majored in Pre-med.
1980-1990 – Water and Safety Instructor – Ocean Lifeguard. Certified CPR instructor and Basic First Aid.

As a land developer and owner of several businesses, including a General Construction company, one of the key values I posses is strong communicative skills. Key qualification for such a position is the ability to negotiate a reasonable solution to individual issues or, on a grander scale, the ability to troubleshoot and implement a program or course of action to take. I am very proactive in my abilities and very resourceful in getting things done. I have successfully developed and property managed multi-family projects in Georgia and in Florida.
Additionally, I possess strong computer skills and am proficient in Excel, Microsoft Word, Power Point presentation, and AutoCAD.
I am also bi-lingual. I can read, write, and speak fluent Spanish.
