Objective


I am a dedicated and responsible hotel management eager to be part of a cruise experience and also improve my management skills.

I would like to do a cruise experience as assistant housekeeping manager, but I am open to do an experience in others positions if is it necessary.

Experience


I am currently working at “Intercontinental” Hotel, located in Buenos Aires, as Housekeeping supervisor.

I am in charge of:

•Supervising and coordinate a team of more than 35 employees, reporting directly to the housekeeping manager.

• My areas of responsibilities include cleanliness of rooms.



I worked at “Renaissance Ross Bridge Golf Resort & Spa” Hotel, located in Birmingham, USA from November 2006 to April 2007 as Housekeeping Supervisor.

In this job I was in charge of:

•Supervised and coordinated a team of more than 30 employees.

•My areas of responsibilities included cleanliness of rooms, public areas and laundry.

•Training new personnel.



I worked at “Sheraton Buenos Aires Hotel & Convention Center” Hotel, located in Buenos Aires, Argentina from November 2005 to October 2006

During my period at this hotel I have worked as Valet (trainee), waitress (trainee), and banquettes waitress.

As a valet I was in charge of:

•Picking up guests clothes and taking them to the laundry service.

•Filling in guests personal information in pick up ticket.

•Updating guests orders in the computer system.

•Responsible for organizing and delivering guests clothes to their respective rooms.

As waitress I was in charge of:

•Opening the pool snack area every morning and closing it every night.

•Responsible for checking fruit, vegetable and beverage stock.

•Taking, preparing, delivering and charging snacks, shakes, etc.

•Registering orders in the computer system.

•Responsible for the cash register check out and taking cash to accounting apartment.

•Keeping the place in order and clean.



I worked at “Tequila Café Bar”, located in Roberts, province of Buenos Aires, Argentina from December of 2004 to March 2005, as manager (seasonal job).

I was in charge of:

•Supervised and trained waitresses.

•Supervised staff of five.

•In charge of dealing with suppliers.

•Responsible for making the requisitions list.

I got my Bachelor Degree in Hotel Management at Universidad Nacional de Quilmes in October of 2006.

My name is Martin Ross, I am 26 years old and I am a Hotel Management. I come from a big family, that is why I enjoy being in contact with people all the time. I enjoy talking to them and also helping them with advice whenever I can. Because of this reason I decided to study a career that allows me to work in an environment in direct contact with people, that is why I chose to study hotel management. I can describe myself as a responsible, friendly, enthusiastic person who has a positive frame of mind. I try always to behave according to my values and ethics. I enjoy making friends and having an excellent relationship with them and also with my co-workers. I’m sure I will be an excellent employee and also help you to create a nice working environment.


 


My first job was when I was 15 years old. I started helping my father with the sow. A few years later I was promoted and was in charge of supervising staff and the machines status. Through these jobs I got experience and also dealt with big responsibilities and learned about the different relationships between people who work together. I was very young and I had under my supervision older people but I didn’t have any problem with them. That was a very important experience in my life, mainly because I matured a lot I learned to appreciate important things in life, like family and working with people.

Later when I was 22 years I worked in a bar named Tequila Café Bar with big responsibilities. As I was studying Hotel Management I was able to put into practice all that theory I had learned in the university. It gave me the chance to practice and put into perspective many things. I got experienced in my area. A

At the Sheraton hotel my first job was as a waiter through an internship. Later I started working in a different department. Working at this Hotel was a great experience because I was able to closely see how it was to work in a company with more than 600 employees. It was a great opportunity to learn and think about new and improved ways to work in this Industry.

I have always wanted to know the USA and I did an international experience at “Renaissance Ross Bridge Golf & Spa Hotel” located in Birmingham, Alabama. With this experience I learned new Hotel management skills and I improved my oral ingles in order to become a better Hotel Management professional.
