Shore based job in the office related to seafarers documentation / certification etc. Training budget / financial monthly reports
Experience
• Currently working with Maersk Global Service Centre for last 2 years as HR Training Officer which involves co ordinating with the officers globally and make arrangements for the Statutory and Business required courses including their flight / accommodation arrangements, visa etc.
• Liaising with the head office in Singapore.
• Co ordinating with the vessels for the onboard requirements with relates to the inspections / audits conducted.
• Arranging for the Officers Seminar globally – End to end process
? Involves sourcing for the hotel venue.
? Arranging for the team building activity
? Contacting officers globally for their participation in the seminar etc.
• Overall day to day co ordination/ liaising with the head office and vessels in concern with the officers certification requirements.
• Preparing monthly required reports.
Before joining Maersk Global Service Centre had worked for Northern Marine Management (I) Pvt. Ltd., for approx. 9 years (Manning Agents for Chevron Transport Corporation, San Ramon) as an ‘Assistant Manager “ for Chevron – A Multinational Shipping Organization which deals with supply of manpower (includes crew and officers) on Tanker vessels.
Job Profile involved :
• Planning for crew joining vessels.
• Liaison with Crew & Officers – who are working onboard ship for a period of six & three months respectively. It relates managing below :-
Send call letters to crew, check their documents i.e. Passport, Indian Seaman’s Book, Foreign Flag, related documents, check their course certificates, if not valid, arrange course for them, get them medically fit for the assignment, take their appropriate visa, maintain them in standby, contract agreement to be signed, make them standby payment, get the flight tickets for them to join vessel at convenient port around the globe.
• Arranging training requirements for the crew / officers and liaising with the office staff to arrange for same. (Includes seminars / VMT meetings etc).
• Organizing / attending communication meetings for the crew and officers held once in a year.
• Supervise the departmental work on day to day basis at the managerial level involving arranging the officer / crew to join vessel (liaising with the travel agents / agents of the joining ports).
• Liaising with our Head Office in London on day to day basis related to any office issue.

• M. Com from Mumbai University in the year 2005

. Typing – Speed 60 w.p.m / Shorthand – Speed 100 w.p.m
• Diploma in computer – Word / Powerpoint / Excel etc
