EXPERIENCE

  • Worked as Assistant Engineer (Mechanical) From JAN 2012 to Till date in   Madurai Power Corporation HFO AND LFO based Power plant - 106MW   (15.14 MW X 7 - WARTSILA 18V46 TYPE).
  • I have contribute myself in all type of break down schedule maintenance, Minor & Major overhauling in Plant, planning and erection of machineries in plant.
  • Operation and Maintenance of water tube and smoke tube boilers.
  • I have contribute myself in  implements of 3’mu & 5’s works.
  • I also acquired operational of HFO Centrifuge FOPX & LOPX of Alfa Laval

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Independently handling Shift Operation & Maintenance of Power plant.
  • Operation, Maintenance &Trouble shooting of DG Auxiliaries such as L.O & F.O Separators, Air Compressors, Radiators, Waste heat recovery boiler, water and Oil Pumps.
  • Operation of Vapour Absorption Machine.
  • Following the maintenance schedule as recommended by the manufacturer to improve the equipments lifetime.
  • Effective handling of tools and tackles to improve the safety & quality of Maintenance.

SKILLS

I have experience in working at critical condition like engine breakdown, trips and emergency.

  • Engine Parameter monitoring from computer wois and local parameter gauges during running time.

  • Engine running based fuel and lube oil calculations
  • Cylinder head overhauling work, valve and valve seat lapping, Valve Bridge setting
  • Assembling of the valves and valve seat & guides.
  • Rocker arm bush assembling and tappet setting.
  • Injection pump and injector assembly and pressure Testing.
  • Piston and liner dismantling and assembling.
  • Piston crown and rings assembling.
  • Liner honing Process.
  • Connecting rod big end bearing assembling.
  • Main bearing assembling.
  • Charge air cooler assembling.
  • Screw pump, gear pump & centrifugal pump service work.
  • Air starting valve & stop valve assembly.
  • Ventilation air system & charge air filtrations system maintenance work.
  • Cooling tower pumps & fans maintenance work.
  • Fuel and lube oil heaters service work.
  • Oil changing process in compressor.
  • Changing Oil filters, air filters and Oil separator filters.
  • Changing of Activated Carbon in carbon filter for water and oil treatment plant.
  • Boiler pressure testing work.
  • Softer plant operations & R O Plant operations and checks SDI Values
  • Involved in successful completion of 24000 , 36000 & 50000 hrs Major Overhauling of DG ‘s
  • DG ‘S 2000 hrs routine maintenance works
  • Involved Turbo charger  ( VTR 454 )3000 hrs overhauling,Turbine and compressor cleaning process done in running time.

ACHIEVEMENT

  • During 4 th semester best performance award of electronic and microprocessor paper
  • Technical round 1 prize in Madurai power corporation company COD function
  • One day fire and safety class completed in usha fire safety management and getter Life saver certificate

PROJECTS

  • Design of  Automatic cleaning of cutting knife at L & T SPILICING MACHINE in TVS SRI CHAKRA LTD
  • Fabrication of gear box mechanism using elivator in civil construction work during 6th semester project work

INPLANT TRAINING

  • Thiruchirapalli SOUTHERN RAILWAY  golden workshop mechanical  maintenance department visited.
