Objective
I would like to work as a Security Team member and provide vessel & personnel security.
Experience
From 1987 to 2003 I worked various positions as a Deputy Sheriff for the Los Angeles County Sheriff's department. I worked several years in South Los Angeles where I dealt with a host of dangerous criminals and situations. I worked during the 1992 Los Angeles Riots, the 1993 Malibu Fires & the 1994 Northridge Earthquake. I worked one year (on-loan) at our Weapons Training Center where I became proficient in the use & deployment of all departmental weapons and chemical agents. I became a narcotics investigator where I excelled at covert narcotics operations (Clandestine laboratories). I held the position of Training Officer, Tactical E.M.T. and attended many areas of training, including Post Blast & Incendiary Investigation.
After retiring in 2003, I worked several different jobs such as; Casino Security, Grocery, and Concrete supply businesses.
I spent two years with a Long Range Surveillence Detachment with the California Army National Guard b/t 1994 & 1996 where I was proficient in the use of numerous weapons and explosives and worked in and around high performance aircraft. The remainder of my time was with the IRR (2002).
I was awarded a Meritorious Service Award for my work in narcotics.
Education
I have a little over two years of college in the field of Administration of Justice where I held a 3.9 GPA.
Certification
I have held certifications as a Tactical EMT, Advnced Urban Sniper, F.B.I. Sniper school, Advanced Shotgun, Training Officer, U.S. Customs Vehicle Search Techniques.
Skils
I am extremely proficient in the use of firearms and less-than-lethal weapons, as well as, hand to hand/ martial arts training.
I am extremely experienced in dealing with dangerous/deadly situations and dangerous people.
I am in excellent physical and mental condition.
I am originally from a large family (9 children), so I get along great with people from all walks of life. I am looking for an exciting and necessary profession not only for myself but for others.
