SELECTED ACHIEVEMENTS
• Negotiated & Implemented the IBRD loan “Terrestrial II” designed to improve the terrestrial access by railway and highway to important energetic coal and nuclear objectives. Supervised and coordinated steps imposed by Loan Contract. Result: Loan was granted and project capitalised, meeting all regulatory approvals. Value: US $2B.
• Initiated and developed foreign trade markets for ISO dry cargo steel containers and specialized transport containers. Contributed to improvement of existing products’ design and marketing by taking contact and opening new emerging markets. Result: 120% increase export turnover. Value: US $66M.
• Launched and developed market for multinational group Hempel Marine Paints A/S Denmark. Developed both brand and product lines. Created hierarchy of product values. Developed technical support and change managed shift to consultative sales approaches. Result: Took company from start-up to US $39M annually.
• Consulted on rehabilitation of Romanian civil and military fleet (approx. 300 ships at 6M DWT) and oil drilling rigs. Updated protection systems and performances. Improved anticorrosive protection technology with newly invented and patented technology. Trained staff to maintain systems at full potential. Result: Romanian fleet brought up to standard, making possible bare-boating to multinational users such as Klaveness- Norway, Mundreas, Frangos, Stelios Haji Ioannou & Ermis Maritime Greece.
• Supplied specified anticorrosive systems to Nuclear Plant Cernavoda Romania , built by AECL Canada in cooperation with ANSALDO Italy, NEXANS and ALTSTOM France. Managed and advised on best systems as agreed by Canadian Power Plant Management. Result: First reactor was commissioned at 16th of April 2003 with a capacity of 1,942,610 SEN. The second reactor is under construction being more than 90 % finished, followed by reactor 3,4 and 5. Received preferred supplier status. Value to date: US $2B.
• Advocated for clean anti-foulings and healthy surface cleaning methods, high quality products, health and safety. Updated protection systems and their performances, improved the anticorrosive protection technology by inventions and registered patents that placed a primacy on environmental clean-up. Result: Newer technologies 30% cleaner than those previously in use.
• Developed a new primer product targeted to a specific niche market and negotiated technical and commercial delivery terms with Chugoku Marine Paints, Japan . Observed careful balance between quality and price. Intensive use of this product induced delivery of other products such as ecological anti-foulings, low VOC, IMO ( International Maritime Organisation) compliant and with high solids in the volume. Result: 300% market increase over three years.
