01/16/09 – 5/27/09 Inter-ocean American Shipping Corp.



Able body Seaman



Called upon to stand a lookout to scale, chip, paint, & handle lines in the mooring of the ship. Assisted in the actual tying up and letting go of the vessel. As a Deckhand also assisted in the handling and operation of all deck gear such as topping, cradling, and housing of booms. Also assisted the carpenter in repair work. Allowed to act as Helmsman reading the draft markings and as Cargo Watch loading and discharging cargo.



05/07 - 09/08 Edison Chouest



Able body Seaman

01/07 – 02/07 Intercontinental Tug and Barge

Assisted in hooking and rigging up barge to tugboat. Standing wheel watch plotting course and assist in engine room chipping and painting. Washing the tug boat inside and out. Took barge from Guma to Singapore.



09/03 – 01/04 M.D. Moody & Son



Ordinary Seaman/Deckhand



Assisting Ablebody Seaman and Chief Mate. Assisted in hooking and rigging up barge to tugboat. Standing wheel watch and plotting course. Assisted in engine room, chipping, painting, and washing the tug boat in side and out.



01/04 – 03/05 Ocean Services



Ordinary Seaman/Deckhand



Assisted the Able body Seaman. Worked with the watch. Also assisted in emergency drills (lifeboat, abandon ship, and fire) and kept the passageways and heads in shipshape condition on the 12 hour watch. Also worked aloft or over the side.



05/03 - 09/03 Subaqueous/Orion Marine Group



Deck Hand



Spliced wire or fiber line. Work aloft and over the side of the tug boat. Operated the deck machinery such as the windlass or winches. Painted and mixed paint. Assisted in hooking and rigging up barge to tugboat.
