A position as Able Bodied Seaman Watch Stander with skills in deck, using skills in non-destructive testing applications as QA/QC welding inspector and NDE technician.
Experience
EXPERIENCE • Seaman: Two years experience as STOS Special Trainee Ordinary Seaman and Able Bodied Seaman performing proper navigational lookout. Maritime duties on deck. Wheel, anchor, and gangway watches. Proficient maintaining a steady course while executing rudder orders and communicating in navigational language. Deck general maintenance, repair, sanitation and upkeep of material, equipment, and related areas. Experience in fast rescue boat drills. Chipping, scraping, soundings, priming, painting, and/or cleaning of the ship's hull, decks, superstructure, cargo gear, smoke stack, lifeboats, rescue boats and/or life rafts, and emergency and damage control gear. Perform welding jobs in deck maintenance. Perform all operations connected with the launching of life saving equipment and security inspections of the ships.
• Welding: More than twelve years in the industrial welding inspection and all NDE disciplines.
o Visual Inspection, Penetrant Test, Magnetic Particle Test, Ultrasonic Testing, Flow Detection, Thickness Gauging and Radiographic Testing. Storage tanks, pressure vessels, and service and cross-country pipelines inspection per API 650, 653, 510 and 1104 guidelines. Experience in sanitary piping inspection and structural welding inspection.
o Solid knowledge in the preparation of proposals, presentations, sales and business development in the welding inspection and metallurgy industry.
o Proficient in documentation and turnover package for project validation.
o Skilled in field interpretation and isometrics reading and development.
o Work directly with project manager, engineers and project owner.
