Objective
My objective is to obtain a responsible and challenging position as an Able Seaman to gain the knowledge and skills required to upgrade to a licensed officer. With hard work and commitment I know this goal is well within my ability. I have worked in the oil field in two different setting. First, I worked servicing oil rigs and platforms transporting the products and equipment necessary for drilling. Also, I have served as a helmsman and watch stander on a seismic research vessel which gathered research data.
Experience
My employment with Aries Marine was an extraordinary experience, highlighted by rapid promotions. However, the company fell on hard times and my position was eliminated. I am currently pursuing new challenges and opportunities in the same industry where I can apply my experience, training, and success. My reposibilities and duties were helmsman & watch stander, anchor handling, line handling, rigging, vessel maintenance, mooring to rigs, assisting in engine room maintenance, assist connecting hoses for liquids, fuel and dry bulk, basic navigation, steer a course during seismic research operations.
