AB unlimited / Shipboard Medic / Advanced Diver Medic/ Tankerman (Oil / liquified gas)

Objective


Secure position onboard Vessel preferably working coastal UK, near or extended european areas. main interests are in Oil, Gas or Chemical tankers, (Coastal, shuttle or bunker) would consider crude tankers (ULCC/VLCC). would also consider Research / survey vessels, coastal cargo ships, tugs - (harbour, towage or salvage) dredgers or bulk cargo ,reefers or standby/supply/ERRV. Mainly Deck position sought but content to undertake medical responsibility as an extra duty or as a primary role.


Experience


Present: CHief Petty officer Coxswain - P&O Cruises. responsible for onboard fire safety and maintenance of fire fighting equipment, fast rescue, passenger evacuation, deck seamanship, tender driving, steering and passenger safety.



2003 2008. AB / PO Medical Technician - Royal Fleet Auxiliary Service. experience on Tankers, Stores ships, Landing ships, Hospital/Aviation support ships, Fleet replenishment ships and ashore in naval sick bays. primary responsibilities include whole ship medical and safety issues, primary healthcare, sea survival equipment maintainer, fire and rescue team leader, ship security, seamanship and replenshiment at sea.



2001 - 2003 British Army, Military Provost, Armed Security and counter terrorism duties.



1999 - 2001 British Merchant Navy - Seaman / Medic. Service on various class of vessel including Tankers, Research vessels, Dredgers, Ro Ro Vessels, Ferries and passenger ships. for numerous companies including P&O, Serco Denholm, United Marine Dredging, Northwood dredging, Waverly excursions, RMAS, and Wightlink ltd. duties as seaman / helmsman, boat crew, fire team, ships medic, diver medic.



1997 - 1999 Royal Navy, Seaman. Service on patrol craft, frigates, destroyers, landing ships and shore establishments, duties general seamanship and armed security. Also 8 years service in Royal Naval Reserve.



1991 - 1997 Ministry of Defence Civilian Security Officer - Naval Hospital, duties general static security safety and crime prevention.



1987 - 1991 J Martin engineering Ltd Machinist, turner , miller, general light engineering.

1976 - 1981 Secondary school - 6 CSEs

1999 sea school (Warsash Maritime academy) EDH, CPSC.

2000 Intermedic BTEC Advanced Diver Medical Technician

2004 Defence Medical College RN Medical assistant class 1/ Modern apprentiship /NVQ level 2 in Medical Assistance.
