Objective
I am seeking a position either as an AB to work on large commerical or reserach vessels, or as a Master or Mate on a 100 vessel. I would like to work with a company and be able to continue to upgrade my licenses and skill set.
Experience
Schooner Searward
Second Mate/Engineer: Officer of Naviagational watch and operated and maintained the vessel's systems for the transit from San Fransico to La Paz, Mexico. December 2010 to February 2011.
Topsail Schooner Lynx
Watch Officer/Engineer: Officer of Navigational watch, in addition to maintaining and operating the ship's systems which include: Caterpillar 3306 engine, Northern Lights Generators, vacuflush heads, and Hundestadt variable pitch propeller. August of 2010 trough November 2010.
Hudson River Sloop Clearwater
Engineer/Deckhand: Managed and maintained all ship's systems which included: Cummins M250 engine, Masse Generator and extensive 12 volt electrical system; through a yard period and regular sailing season. April 2010-July 2010.
Topsail Schooner Amistad
Mate-in-Training/Engineer/Coxswain: Participated in two extensive yard periods, maintenance and operation of: Caterpillar 3304 engines, Northern Lights Generators, etc, in addition to acting as Third-Mate for the later half of the Carribean cruise. Fall of 2004 & May 2009-April 2010.

-Navigation: ability to serve as Officer of navigtional watch and safely operate and navigate the vessel under the master's standing orders.
-Basic Diesel engine care: oil changes, fuel filters, zincs, etc.
-Basic electrical work: 12/24 and 120 volt system repair and installation.
-Rigging: block and tackle systems, operating gear under heavy loads.
-Small boat handling: driving large zodiac for MOB, Abandon ship drills, and as a push boat for docking larger vessel.
-Sailing: Ability to safely operate and sail vessels up to 100 tons.
-Assistance Towing: I am licensed to engage in commercial assistance towing on vessels up to 100 tons on inland waters.
