Conducted on-site training and certification for Permit-Required Confined-Space Entrant / Attendant, Powered Industrial Truck Operator, Rough Terrain Aerial Platform and Skid-steer Operation, and NESC safety guidelines for electrical transmission and distribution systems. As a consultant, I set up an OSHA-compliant record system.

Immediate Supervisor, Mr. Neal Hargrove, Senior Safety Supervisor, Clipper Wind Inc., 325-260-4710. Safety Supervisor (contract employee) for wind turbine blade repair personnel at the Steel Winds site in northern New York. Managed 12 to 16 personnel on a 24/7 work effort in inclement work conditions. Conducted on-site training and certification for Permit-Required Confined-Space Entrant / Attendant, Powered Industrial Truck Operator, Rough Terrain Aerial Platform, and NESC safety guidelines for electrical transmission and distribution systems.



November 2005 to January 2008, OSHA Safety Compliance and Teaching, 2097 Fallon Blvd., Palm Bay, FL 32907. Teacher / Inspector (self-employed). Taught 10- and 30-hour OSHA Construction Outreach Programs. Conducted on-site training and certification for Permit-Required Confined-Space Entrant / Attendant, Powered Industrial Truck Operator, Rough Terrain Aerial Platform, and NESC safety guidelines for electrical transmission and distribution systems. As a consultant, I set up an OSHA-compliant record system.



May 2005 to November 2005. City of Palm Bay Building Division, 5240 Babcock St, Ste 105, Palm Bay, FL. 32905. Part-time Building & Safety Inspector. Supervisor: Mr. Ed Stevens, Senior Building Inspector (321-288-2493). Was trained and then performed inspections of slab, steel tie-in, framing, plumbing, out buildings/fence, roofs, uplift, drywall, pool/screen enclosures, and final inspections. Performed code enforcement / building maintenance and safety inspections. Attended meetings and testified before the monthly Code Enforcement Board.



July 2002 to April 2005. One Stop Home Improvements, 700 Atlantic Ave., Suite 207, Melbourne, FL 32901. Superintendent / Safety Inspector. Supervisor: Mr. David Barnard, General Manager (321-266-8583). Conducted weekly progress meeting with subcontractors and customers/ homeowners. Conducted weekly safety meetings, tracked day-to-day site activities on 10 to 12 projects, and dealt with insurance companies and insurance claims adjusters. Scheduled and supervised work crews performing high- end residential and light commercial construction work.



March 2001 to June 2002. Optical Systems and Switches Inc. Palm Bay, FL. Engineer / designer. Designed fiber-optic sensors and switches for military and commercial use. Worked with Chief Technical Officer Dr. Barry Grossman Ph.D. (321-961-0543) on DOD personnel sensors and DOT highway sensors using a combination of fiber-optic and electronic systems. Also designed and supervised building of a fiber-optic signal switcher the size of a sugar cube. Designed and built performance evaluation equipment to analyze the failure rate of sensors and electronic components. Conducted a weekly safety meeting which covered personal and fire safety.



December 1989 to January 2001. Atlantic International Inc. 2881 Crossbow Way, Melbourne, FL 32935. Superintendent of construction and engineering of residential and commercial security access control systems. Designed and installed industrial and residential security access control systems. This security equipment included door and gate operators, telephone systems, touch pads (i.e., code access systems), retina scanners, touch/proximity card readers, loop detectors, CCTV systems, module systems to display real-time images on a predetermined television channel, and all types of power back-up systems. Installed and designed both high- and low-voltage systems. Conducted a weekly safety meetings with all personnel.



February 1988 to December 1989. J-Electric Inc. Orlando, FL. Citrus Ave. Orlando, FL. Commercial electrician. General Foreman: William (Bill) Cregg. Performed duties of a commercial control electrician. Wired climate control and freezer systems for commercial buildings as specified by blueprints. Performed commercial electrical work as part of a team in the central Florida area.



October 1985 to January 1988. TECOM Inc. Vehicle Operations and Maintenance, Patrick Air Force Base, FL 32925. Shop supervisor. Supervised five employees assigned to the Machine, Welding, and Hydraulic / Pneumatic Overhaul Shops. Scheduled work assignments, and conducted a weekly safety meeting with the assistant of the USAF Safety Department. Performed inspection and maintenance on all plant equipment. Due to a Shuttle mishap, the contract was lost and all personnel were laid off.
