Experience
Captain - Northwest Dive Construction: Aboard dive support vessel. September 2, 2008 thru September 24, 2008.
Mate - L & M Botruc Inc: Aboard various Offshore Supply Vessels. Duties included navigation and ship handling in the offshore oilfield. April 1, 2006 to February 2008.
Chief Mate/Relief Captain - Lindblad Expeditions M/V Sea Lion/Bird: Aboard a 150' passenger ship operating in SE Alaska, BC, the Columbia River and Mexico. Supervised, trained and coordinate activities of deck force, responsible for assisting with vessel’s piloting, navigation, safety, security, first aid, deck maintenance, and small boat operations. Additionally, served as relief captain. April 4, 2003 thru Sept. 23, 2004
Chief Mate - Glacier Bay Cruise Line - M/V Wilderness Discoverer: Aboard a 170' cruise ship in SE Alaska. Duties included supervising and training two officers, a Bosun and three deck hands. Responsibilities included: safe operation of the ship, supervising the deck department, small boat operations and ship handling in frequent ports of call. April 15, thru October 1, 2002
2nd Mate - Deep Sea International - M/V Aloha: Served as an officer aboard 160' research vessel in the Gulf of Mexico. Duties included training deckhands in emergency procedures, navigational watches, and maintaining and procuring ships supplies. Jan. 10, thru Feb. 5, 2002
3nd/2rd/ Chief Mate - Glacier Bay Cruise Line - M/V Wilderness Discoverer: Originally hired as third mate. Received promotions from 3rd to 2nd to Chief Mate during the season. Duties included navigation, ship handling, maintaining safety equipment and deck department stores, supervising vessel maintenance, chart corrections, supervision and training of deck department.. May 4, thru October 1, 2001
Deckhand - Seacoast Towing : Worked as a deckhand aboard various inland and oceangoing tow boats. Duties included assisting in making and breaking tow, relieving the watch at the helm, lookout duties and minor engine maintenance. March 1, thru October 15, 1999
