Objective
Naturally self-motivated and pro-active with lots of energy and enthusiasm, I am currently seeking a new challenging role working as 3rd or 2nd Engineer in the offshore industry, working on a Subsea multi-lay vessel, Construction pipelay, Heavy lifting, Jack Up vessel, PSV, AHTS, DSV, Rigs or Drillship.
Experience
• Dynamic, experienced and well qualified Marine Engineer and Professional Seaman with a proven track record and 15 years sea-going experience working offshore. I have worked on various types of vessels including Jack Up Vessels, Dredgers, Chemical Tankers, Oil Tankers and LPG Vessels etc., and am currently working on a Jack Up DP2 Vessel. I began my career working as a motorman in 1999, later in 2002 became the 4th Engineer, progressing to 3rd and then 2nd Engineer. During that time, I have proved my ability to work well in challenging situations, whilst ensuring safety is at the forefront of everything I do. Multi-skilled with a high standard of physical fitness, I have vast hands on knowledge and understanding of large hydraulic systems and machinery and other mechanical equipment on board vessels; fault finding, maintaining, operating, repairing and overhauling any deck or engine room machinery/installations. My knowledge gained through working on different types of vessels has proved invaluable, enabling me to train and adapt quickly to using different types of machinery and equipment. Commercially and technically competent with good IT skills, I am also experienced in ensuring that spares and stock levels are managed efficiently, using the AMOS system of software and log keeping.

Flexible and adaptable to ever changing environments, I am used to working internationally and would be willing to travel anywhere in the world. Ideally I am looking for a 4 weeks on/4 weeks off position that would allow me to meet my family commitments and get some rest before returning to sea. Honest and hardworking, I enjoy advancing my skills and knowledge, I am fully conversant with Kongsberg, Wartsila, Norcontrol and Saab monitoring and control systems. Ambitious, eager to succeed and a fast learner, I would relish a new role where I have the chance to realise my full potential, grow as a professional and climb the career ladder. Just looking for someone to give me a chance to prove myself.

I am also able to work on my own initiative with minimum of supervision, multi-tasking, fault finding, problem solving and making decisions. Having worked with multi-national crews, I am used to working with many different nationalities of people. I am not afraid of hard work or getting my hands dirty, working with high accuracy and precision and paying attention to detail. I am experienced in working with: Watsila, MAN, Caterpillar, Deutz, Perkins, General Motor, B & W and Pielstick engine systems.
