Over 10 years of sea going experience as Officer in Charge of Navigational Watch in variety of hulls, both commercial and military.

Experience in the Atlantic (6 yrs), Pacific (2 yrs), Gulf of Mexico (2 yrs), Mediterranean, Red Sea and Persian Gulf.

Chief Engineer at USS CHAMPION (MCM 4)

Oversaw the removal/ installation and break in of 4 main propulsion diesel engines and 3 ship service diesel generators during 2 month yard period.



Chief Engineer at USS DEXTROUS (MCM 13)

March 2004 - September 2004

USS Dextrous is homeported in Bahrain as part of the U.S. Fifth Fleet.

While assigned as Chief Engineer, USS DEXTROUS was awarded most fuel efficient ship in the class, and one of top 10 fuel efficient ships in US Navy.



Damage Control Instructor at Surface Warfare Officer School Command, US Navy

April 2001 - April 2003

Trained over 600 US Navy and Coast Guard officers in all aspects of shipboard damage control.

Topics included: damage control organization and administration, fire fighting, stability, CBR-D, practical damage control and gas free engineering.



Navigator at USS STOUT, US Navy

September 1999 - March 2001

Responsibilities included maintaining the ship's charts & publications, navigation and meteorlogical equipment.

Responsible for training all Bridge personel in navigation, weather, and visual communications.

Supervised 8 enlisted watchstanders.



Damage Control Assistant at USS INGRAHAM (FFG 61), US Navy

September 1997 - July 1999

Responsible for the prevention and control of damage, including control of stability, list and trim.

Administered various training for ship’s personnel. This training included damage control, fire fighting, emergency repair work, and nonmedical defensive measures for chemical, biological, and radiological (CBR) defense.

Supervised 30 Damage Control maintenance personnel.
