Respected Sir / Madam,
I am an Ex-Naval Petty Officer in Seaman / Deck Department.
In Naval Service I have done so many duties as Very Common Duties are Lookout Duty, Helmsman/Conning Duty, Mooring operations (Berthing/Unberthing), Anchor operations, Deck watch, Anchor watch, Gangway watch.
I have carried out Duty as In charge of Ship Fire Fighting Team including Damage Control, Ship Security Officer, and Liaison Officer for Senior Naval Officer.
In deck department I have done many other activities as Rigging work, Deck maintenance, Hull maintenance, Ship husbandry. As Department Petty Officer responsible for maintaining record books, ledgers, office correspondence, computer works, maintaining watch & Station bill, duty rosters, maintenance of Life Shaving Equipments. In charge of hot works onboard.
After my retirement from Indian Navy I qualified as Third Deck Officer from T.S. Rahaman (Nhava, Panvel near Navi Mumbai) and I hold a Certificate of Competency, FG Unlimited from Government of Panama, as 3rd Deck Officer FG Unlimited.
I have passed NCV/ NWKO written exam in 5 subjects and for rest of one, I have prepared for exam in Jan 2011.
After obtaining my CoC, I joined Accommodation Barge Ocean-6, in Malaysia as Assistant Barge Master in SAMARANG OIL FIELD for PETRONAS, and 3rd Deck Officer onboard Oil Tanker M.T.Tamanna.
I want to join Offshore Merchant vessel as Trainee Officer / Junior Officer / 3rd Officer as appropriate with respect of type and size of vessel, in any class (Main Fleet or Offshore Vessel of any class with agreement of Terms & Condition of the Company.
