Objective


I would like to secure a position utilizing my knowledge and expertise in the maritime industry.


Experience


1995-2013 I worked for Horseshoe Casino as a mate. I received my captain license in 2005, and was promoted to that position. my work experience are as follows. I had the honor of management and supervising a crew of 15 men and women. Established department policies and procedures. Maintained passenger; crew, and vessel safety. I assist with developed and implemented on going vessel inspections of all safety and emergency equipment complying with the Coast Guard regulations. Training of deck crew in fire and man overboard response. My duties also included fiscal requirements; prepared budgetary recommendations, reconcile expenditure of budged funds. Liaison officer between Coast Guard and Naval Architects for remodeling and upgrading of the vessel. 1992-1994 I worked for Masters, Mates, and Pilots. Officer on deck supervising loading and unloading of cargo during night shifts and early morning hours in port. 1980-1993 AB Seaman steering vessels; chipping and painting on decks. Maintenance of all exterior equipment. 1977-1980 Cook-AB seaman I cook for a crew of 5-15 depending on the job boat was contracted to perform.


Education


Last year of high school was completed in Mc Comb, MS. at C.D. Higgins. I attended S.U.N.O. from 1974-1976.


Certification


I have radar unlimited; ARPA; Advance fire fighting, Tank Ship Dangerous Liquids (PIC) Course. Hazardous Materials; 32 hours Bridge Resource Management, Basic Safety and Social Responsibility Basic First Aid and CPR; Personal Survival; leadership training.


Skils


I have experience standing watch of bridge. I'm excellent on deck. I have skills in sandblasting, spray painting from a bo'sun chair.
