Summer Sea Term Summer 2010
• 90 day sea voyage to Spain, Greece, Ireland, Malta, and France.
• Stood watch on bridge as the ship’s Jr. Mate.
• Stood watch in chart room taking weather observations and on the bridge as the radar observer.
• Proficient with bridge equipment.
• Proficient in terrestrial, celestial, electronic navigation, GMDSS, and flashing light.
• Knowledgeable and practiced in ship line handling.
• Responsible for the safety of the crew through being in charge of work parties.
• Interacted and worked with open and closed lifeboats, and life rafts.

• Stood watch on bridge to assist the Mate and Jr. Mate on watch.
• Stood watch in aft-chartroom to become familiar with bridge equipment and navigation.
• Reviewed and performed terrestrial, celestial, electronic navigation, and GMDSS.
• Responsible for the safety of the crew by being in charge of work parties.

• 60 day sea voyage to South Carolina, Italy, Estonia, and Denmark.
• Worked in maintenance and repair gaining professional experience.
• Reviewed and performed terrestrial navigation.
• Proficient with the point system and bearings by standing watches as lookout.
