Second Officer (Navigational) Maintaining navigational watch at sea, the planning of voyages including preparation of all charts and publication required, the correction and upkeep of the navigational charts and nautical and reference publications, bridge check lists, maintaining electronic chart display and information system (ECDIS), the upkeep of all bridge equipment, GMDSS operator, the organization of the deck ratings allocated to deck duties, watch schedules, briefing with passengers (muster station, safety in common, escape routes, abandon drills).
