Foreign Languages:
English is my working language, I use this language everyday while working on board with multinational crew. I live now in Ramsgate - UK and it helps to speak fluently.
I am able to communicate in Spanish due to passion to Latin America
Russian – my father learned me to speak in Russian. I could also practice this language while working with Ukrainian crew.
German I learned at school - 8 years and from my family.
Polish is my native language.
Last contracts I worked as Safety and Navigational Officer (3rd & 2nd Officer) for Alpha Shipmanagement - German Company. HTTP://www.alphaship.de
I was responsible for the safety of the crew, the ship and the cargo as laid down in company procedures. As 3rd Officer I was responsible for the Safety and Fire Fighting Equipment; for training the crew according SOLAS regulations and communication in distress (GMDSS). I prepared all the papers on arrival and departure, for inspections and requisitions.
My position required me also to perform all the duties of 2nd off. which I relished, and it is my hope to continue these duties and improve my experience.
I was responsible for voyage planning, navigational equipment, GMDSS equipment. As 2nd Officer I get to know how to use DIGITRACE system in order to keep updated all charts and publications. I am operating the AMOS system without any problems. I get to know how to operate Electronic Chart Display – TRANSAS. C/O trained me to operate the ballast system, and to monitor cargo operations. He also push me to study stability calculation, which I hope to use in the future.
Working on different vessels made me flexible in operating different navigational equipment. I get to know how to read the manuals and to use the equipment in a proper way.
