Assisted in loading and discharging different grades of cargo. Assisted in maintenance and handling of different cargo systems including Framo Pumps, Cranes, and Centrifugal Cargo Pumping Systems. Assisted the bridge team in navigation of the ship using Integrated Bridge Navigation Systems,and Electronic Chart Display Information Systems.

Attained a good end to end understanding of the Bunker purchase flow process from inquiries to the final purchase. Received training on LQM Bunkering software solutions, namely:Bunker® Dashboard and BOptimum™. Assisted brokers in monitoring ship movements and calculating ships’ ETA at ports.Monitored PLATTS for 380 CST high and low price changes in the Santos and Rio de Janeiro ports and updated the internal database to reflect changes in spot prices. Analyzed end of day bulletin, using PLATTS, for the management. Assisted brokers in handling incoming bunker requests (email and telephonic)from ship operators in South and North America. Reconciled LQM’s internal database and website with over 800+ suppliers’ terms and conditions and prepared an executive summary summarizing the same. Participated in the root cause analysis of a real life major vessel grounding incident (> 20 million dollars of liability). Reviewed and assimilated correspondence related to the claim. the buyer against the cargo owner.
