Objective
I would like to apply in your company as a port engineer, I want to continued my long time work experienced from ship to land base work or maybe in the office or any port job related to my work experienced because I quit sailing.
Experience
I have been working in ship starting at the age of 18 after i graduated in high school, I obtained my licenses from my long and extensive experienced.My last employers was MMSPhil Maritime Services, I was employed by them last Aug.7 2005 until Sept.21,2006,a year contract in a position of 2nd marine engineer, my responsibilities are to give order of daily work to my subordinate, to maintain all ships machineries in good working condition, Main engine Maintenance record, Emergency and safety equipments test records and operation. Crews disciplines reports and their safety working condition, reporting to the chief Engineer about Spare and SMS Application. My major achievements is that when I removed our Main Engine(Wartsila Sulzer 6RND 17,000 BHP) Exhaust manifold in Dry dock and replaced all leaking Bellows, Pulled out the Liner and replaced with new one, parts are build heavy and need care in lifting, I carried the job safe and well by planning and organizing the crew.
Education
I only finished High School, But I have Attended many upgrading courses as per IMO rules regarding safety, and other required courses by maritime regulation, I do it every time we go home for vacation the most important now is how to understand the pollution prevention system and the use of all safety equipments to avoid great disaster to our ocean and air.
Certification
2nd Engineer License, 3rd engineer license, 4th Engineer license, STCW Certificate, Basic Safety Training and Instructor, Medical First Aid, Proficiency in survival Craft and Rescue Boat Marpol I and 2, PSSR,
Skils
Can do the maintenance and overhauling of the Following Machineries: Diesel Engine Overhauling and maintenance, Air Compressor of all Stages, Fuel Oil Purifiers, Auxiliary Pumps,Reverse Osmosis Plant Operator and maintenance, Distilling Plant, and can do minor Welding work electric and Oxy Acetylene.
I was now in my two years Vacation not intending anymore to returned to my previous work although some of my previous companies who knew me and my record are calling me to join their vessel, My only wished is to find a related work in land base and promise to do my best to be an asset to the company.
