Experience


Marine Engineering License:

2nd Engineer unlimited horsepower, and all certificates of training under provisions of STCW-95 for US Merchant Marine Officer with Tankerman endorsement of dangerous liquid oil and chemical cargoes. US passport and TWICK are available.

Work Experience:

Over 25 years of successful service on various types of vessels in any engine room department position, including Chief Engineer on ocean going tugboat (m/v “Coastal Sun” with FAIRBANKS-MORSE main propulsion engines). Complete engine overhaul (SULTZER RTA; BMW) with cylinder liner replacement. Diesel-Electric propulsion experience (USNS “Mary Sears” with EMD diesel generator main engines); steam turbines (Keystone Shipping Co., tanker “Chilbar”). Some experience on CATERPILLAR, DAIHATSU, SKL, and PIELSTICK engines. List of ships for last 4 years is attached.

Pump room cargo operations on petroleum and chemical product tankers: m/v “Seabulk Challenge”, s/s “Coast Range”, and so on, with steam turbine or motor driven pumps in a position of a Chief Pumpman.

Successful completion of USNS “Pillilau” dry dock project in Bayonne Dry Dock in a position of ASSISTANT PROJECT MANAGER. Primary responsibilities included but were not limited to: communication between shipyard and ship administration; team of mechanics management; underwater items repair supervision (Controllable Pitch Propellers, Bow Thrusters, Stern Tubes Seals replacement, Rudders, Sea Chest Valves, and so on); final tests completion with Condition Reports generation; etcetera.


Education


Graduated from Tallinn Maritime Academy. Major: Mechanical Engineering; Operation and Maintenance of Ship Propulsion and Power Plants.

St. Petersburg Maritime Engineering Academy. Additional of 3 years undergraduate’s studies (68 credits) in Mechanical Engineering and Operation and Maintenance of Ship Propulsion and Power Plants.


Certification


2nd Engineer unlimited horsepower, and all certificates of training under provisions of STCW-95 for US Merchant Marine Officer with Tankerman endorsement of dangerous liquid oil and chemical cargoes. US passport and TWICK are available. Commercial driver license with "tank" endorsement.


Skils


Strong organizational skills; PC-Windows, Microsoft Office user; Blueprints and Electrical Diagrams reading; Electro-Mechanical troubleshooting and repair; ARC welding; Oxy-Acetylene torch and Plasma Cutter handling; Metal Manufacturing; Commercial Driver License with “tank” endorsement.
