• Training Officer aboard the M/V PAGENTURM, Tonnage 1018, type AHTS (Anchor Handling Tug Supply Vessel), Belize’s flag. Vessel owned by Tidewater Marine International, West Africa Operations (2008-2009)
My duties were on board to fix the position of the ship on the nautical chart regularly, fill in the movement log book, put up the appropriate flags an assist with anything.
I made jobs like anchor handling working on deck with AB’s and on the bridge with the officers in charge, also I was supplying cargo to oil rigs at open sea, move oil platforms from one position to another one, and also giving safety inductions to crew transported on board from ashore to offshore.
• Bridge training officer as a Deck Cadet aboard the M/V ATLAS TIDE, Tonnage 1068, type AHTS, Vanuatu’s flag. Vessel owned by Tidewater Marine International (2008)
I was in charge of the safety cargo operations, responsible at all times for the safe navigation of the ship and the proper performance of harbour watch operation. I put up to date the nautical charts, publications and navigational equipments. I made inspections to the safety devices and firefighting equipment.
I also was operating the electronic navigational equipments and I know how to observe, to analyze and to interpret the RADAR, ARPA, ECDIS, AIS and GPS.
• Professional practice on board in the VIVEROS 5, Bunker Supply (Tug – Barge), Panamanian flag. Vessel owned by Compañía Marítima de Cabotaje, S.A. (2007)
I made jobs like sounding bunkering tanks, daily ship’s maintenance like painting and greasing, management of paperwork, drills on board like “man overboard”, “fire fighting”, “abandon ship”, etc. Navigational watches during sailing time and at port.
