Duties: As the chief mate I ran the crew, Made out the voyage plans and did most of the reports and logs and records while and use the NS5 system to record Safety Meetings and Maintains and Drills. As the 2Mate I did the voyage plans and kept the charts and pubs up to dates and the logs and enter the records in to NS5 system, Held a Navigation watch when the vessel was in transit. When the vessels was on station maneuver the vessel so they scientist crew can get the core samples, water samples and take photos of there target area ,The area that we worked in was The Gulf of Mexico, off of French Guiana, and Matuna Bay Trinidad. The area of Transits where From Gulf of Mexico to Trinidad, French Guiana, Matuna Bay Trinidad and to Pointe Noire Congo

Duties: As a 2Mate, holding my own watch, Help with sending in papers for customs in Brazil, Let the tow wire in and out using the winch and includes filling out ships log, noon / midnight reports to the office. Making voyage reports and add route to the gps and charts, doing the chart corrections and corrections to the other publications. Making tow and breaking tow, Help with the fueling. As a Mate I did trips from Jacksonville Fl USA to San Juan P.R and a tow from Texas USA to Brazil. When I was working as a deckhand my job included maintaining the outside of the vessel and the inside, Cooking meals for 6 to 8 crew member’s Worked in the Gulf of Mexico and on a trip from Texas U.S.A to Africa as a deckhand

Duties: include maintaining the exterior and inside of the vessel, Hooking up the barges on the tow wire and making up a tandem tow with two barges to be towed, Help loading and unloading the containers that where on the barges and tying up the barges and the vessel, The tug boat went from Seattle Wa to Anchorage, Bethel, Naknak, and Dutch Harbor Alaska then back down to Seattle Wa. Plus standing watches and gaining towing experience as we break the tow and make up the tow.

And including routine duties also included maintenance of a 25-person tender line handling, assisting guests in various recreational activities and helping the deckhand and stewardesses with their duties. Gained valuable customer service and experience in hospitality

Duties: Delivered personnel and cargo on vessels from 98’ to 145’ Crew Boats from various ports in the southern United States to oil rigs in the Gulf of Mexico.

Responsibilities included maneuvering in various channels, rivers, and the intercoastal waterways of Texas, Louisiana, and Mississippi, and carefully maintaining a stationary position on the open sea while rigs loaded and unloaded. In charge of keeping the vessels maintained.
