Duties: As the chief mate I ran the crew, Made out the voyage plans and did most of the reports and logs and records while and use the NS5 system to record Safety Meetings and Maintains and Drills. As the 2Mate I did the voyage plans and kept the charts and pubs up to dates and the logs and enter the records in to NS5 system, Held a Navigation watch when the vessel was in transit. When the vessels was on station maneuver the vessel so they scientist crew can get the core samples, water samples and take photos of there target area ,The area that we worked in was The Gulf of Mexico, off of French Guiana, and Matuna Bay Trinidad.
