Experience


. C & C Technologies, Survey services Captain 2005-2012

Operated Survey and Research vessel in Brazil and Gulf of Mexico. Surveyed ocean floor for clients, followed USCG Rules and Regulations, 150 foot fast crew boat in Angola. Took supplies to off shore BP drilling ship, transported personnel for client, supervised 9 personnel of different nationalities, followed USCG rules and regulations, company policies, operated vessel to company requirements.



. ASI Europe LTD. Vessel Captain 2003- 2005

Operated Vessel in the Caspian Sea for the oil industry. Performed emergency evacuations and transported passengers and cargo to the oil platforms.



. Fairfield Industries Vessel Captain 2001- 2003

Operated a crew boat in the Gulf of Mexico area. Transported personnel and supplies from ship to shore, performed security patrol, applied Coast Guard rules and regulations, trained crew members, maintained logbooks, transferred up to 45 personnel to seismic vessel while underway, and performed vessel maintenance.



• Day and Zimmerman Marine, Inc. Vessel Operator 1999- 2001

Operated causeway ferry and warping tug for the Navy, applied Coast Guard regulations, instructor ,performed maintenance, and tested equipment as directed by the military test requirements.



• Horn Blower Marine Vessel Captain (Seasonal) 1999

Operated/Navigated high-speed passenger ferry in the Hampton Roads area. Applied Coast Guard rules and regulations, maintained logbooks, and supervised up to three crew members.



• Alaska Joint Ventures Vessel Captain 1994 - 1998

(Textron and Lynden Inc.)

Operated/navigated, instructed, maintained vessel, transported personnel, load master for precise cargo hauling requirements, maintained various logbooks, and applied Coast Guard rules and regulations.



• Sheriff's Office Deputy Sheriff 1993-1994

Performed various duties as courthouse security officer, courtroom security and prisoner transport.



• U.S. Army Vessel Operator 1976- 1993

Operated/navigated various military vessels. Performed maintenance, developed lesson plans, and served as senior instructor. Supervisor for all enlisted soldiers aboard. Supervised crew members for vessel maintenance, cargo operations, damage control procedures, vessel fire fighting classes and procedures, publications and vessel supplies. Stood watch as bridge officer, navigating the ship in the ocean and inland waters. Served as detachment First Sergeant. Performed duties as the senior air cushion vehicle operator/navigator and instructor, landing crafts, charter boats, and a harbor patrol boat. Worked on various new equipment training projects for test and evaluation requirements.
