Experience
9/2007- 10/2008: Captain aboard 128 foot Research Vessel Ocean Lady operating extended commercial charters. Current charter includes ocean bottom mapping and discovery of antiquities through the use of divers and integrated prototype cesium magnetometers off the coast of the Dominican Republic and Caribbean. Involved with all aspects of refit, design, ABS Classification and sea trials with current owner.
3/2006- 9/2007: Engineer/ Relief Captain aboard 114 foot custom Nordlund motor yacht Alexa C2 sailing Caribbean Sea, East Coast, Hudson River, St Lawrence River, Great Lakes, Mediterranean, Adriatic, and Aegean Seas, as well as Atlantic Ocean crossings. Responsible for all vessel maintenance, and safety of yacht, tenders, and systems onboard. Duties include ongoing preventative maintenance programs as well as repairs.
10/2005- 3/2006: Able Bodied Seaman and Utility Engineer aboard 110 foot ocean tug Sea Robin for Allied Towing working two ocean routes towing 410 foot dry cargo barge between south Florida and Massachusetts. General A/B duties as well as watch standing and Engineering.
7/2004- 10/2005 Engineer/ Second Captain for Cruise West’s 90 foot passenger vessel Sheltered Seas along Alaska’s Inside Passage, British Columbia, Seattle and surrounding areas. Mate for Cruise West’s 217 foot passenger vessel Spirit of Endeavor from Alaska’s Inside Passage and British Columbia along the Americas Pacific coast to Mexico’s Sea of Cortez, including San Francisco Bay. Both vessels are USCG and SOLAS Inspected. Responsible for Vessel maintenance, safety, and overall operation.
2003- 7/2004: Mate aboard 43 foot charter boat Kitt II, USCG Inspected, operating both fishing and day cruise charters. Operating from Little Wicomico river, middle Chesapeake Bay to Kitty Hawk North Carolina.
1996-2002: Mate aboard 46-foot charter boat Mystic Lady II, USCG Inspected, operating both fishing and day cruise charters. Operating from Great Wicomico river, middle Chesapeake Bay.
1994-1995: Deckhand aboard 100-foot commercial long-line fishing boat Gannett. Cape Canaveral Florida Atlantic Coast to Gulf of Mexico and Caribbean Sea.
1993-1994: Deckhand aboard 120-foot passenger ferry Chesapeake Breeze, USCG Inspected, with daily route along Chesapeake Bay to Tangier Island.
* Extensive experience with Jet and Surface-Piercing propulsion and high- speed vessels.
