I have 23 years of experience onboard various types of U.S. Navy ships and small vessels. 3years with port operations San Diego and 2 seasons as 2nd Mate / Relief Chief Mate, and currently Chief Mate with Cruise West. Throughout my military and now civilian maritime career, I have demonstrated exceptional leadership and the ability for meeting operational objectives and demands. In addition I am a fast learner and have excellent team oriented skills with a friendly “can do” attitude. I hold a current security clearance of Secret and valid U.S. Passport, MMD and TWIC Card. I am also a Desert Shield / Desert Storm and Operation Iraq Freedom Veteran.

Officer in Charge of a 135ft / 226 ton US Navy Landing Craft and 13 man crew.

Conducted amphibious and humanitarian operations in support of Operation Pacific Partnership 2007 in areas of the Phillipines, Guam, Singapore, Vietnam, Paupa New Guinea, Marshal Islands and Soloman Islands.

Navigator and Communications Officer on Landing Craft Utility (LCU-1665)

Responsible for the safe and accurate navigation of the craft in all aspects of operations

Deployed in summer of 2006 to the Northern Arabian Gulf in support of Operation Enduring Freedom

As communications officer ensured all communication equipment was operational and coordinated operations between various shore and seaborne Naval assets.

Conducted interagency coordination between the US Navy, USCG and other federal / state agencies in the formation of the nation’s first Joint Harbor Operations Center.
