100 Ton Captain

Objective


Goal is to gain more off-shore experience and continue through to my 8th issue Master Captain’s License as a base, and continue to further education as necessary. I am in good health and plan to continue working as a 100 ton Captain in the Oil field industry. I enjoy working with people and have the dependability and commitment to supervise.


Experience


I have 33+ years experience working in the Oil Field Industry professionally on boats from Mobile Bay, Alabama to Harbor Island, Texas. I started as a deckhand and have worked every area of these boats from the engine room to the wheelhouse. I have also cooked if needed. I was working for Gulf Offshore Logistics as a temporary until October 2008.

July 2006 to April 2008- I was the Captain for Abdon Callais working a job out of Golden Meadow, Louisiana, 70357 (1-800-632-3411)

Continued to learn within the company, Oil, Fuel response and cleanup. Man overboard drills,

Fire fighting, and launching life rafts.

July 2004 to July 2006 I worked several odd jobs, especially after Hurricane Katrina.

November 2000 to July 2004 I was the Captain of a Utility Boat for Gilbert Cheramie and Seacor Marine out of Morgan City then moved to Houma and worked for Mr. Fontenot.

I was a first captain on the Utility and mini supply boat. We ran machinery and crews out to 6 to 8 oil rigs. We were a nonstop Boat. I also worked on the deck and in the Wheelhouse navigating and some work in the engine room.

September 1999 to October 2000 Worked for Gulf South/Whitney/International Marine in Larose, LA as a Captain, Running a utility boat in the Gulf of Mexico oil field. We transported crews, food, equipment, fuel and water. Learned Safe fueling procedures, taking on water, Emergency radio procedure, Fire fighting and HAZMAT Training.

May 1983 to May 1999 Worked for John E. Graham & Sons and Seacor Marine. Other Experience includes: Dry dock Re-build and ready Boats and ships for Service or Coast guard inspection to include Engine room interior and exterior work.
