Celtic Pacific UK Ltd Safety & Security Manager 2008 – To date

? To ensure that all procedures concerning safety, safe working practices, pollution prevention and security are implemented and followed throughout the fleet

? To ensure that Masters and ship's staff are fully conversant with approved procedures relating to safety, security and environmental matters

? Proposing amendments to the Company's SMS and operative instructions to comply with the applicable Codes and Regulations

? Ensure that the minutes of Shipboard Safety Committee meetings are monitored and that proper actions are implemented and relevant follow up is provided as needed

? Coordinating through shipboard personnel the upkeep of the Muster List organization fleet-wide to reflect all changes

? Participating in internal audits as Lead Auditor or Audit Team as assigned

? Coordinating and conducting Safety Inspections

? Conducting investigations related to incident and hazardous occurrences as directed by Management

? Monitoring incidents/accidents/casualties, the status of relevant corrective actions and follow up and managing communication among the fleet to avoid recurrence

? To monitor development in equipment, safety and security training and any other matters that would continually improve safety and security, and develop recommendations accordingly

? Monitoring the implementation of the maintenance procedures as established by the Company to support compliance with the ISM Code

? Participating in emergency situations as designated by the Incident Manager

? Assisting the Captains for matters related to: safety, Environmental protection, security, navigation, stability etc.

? Enrolled in initiatives and /or committees such as CLIA Security Committee as designated by Management

? Prepare and detail month threat assessment for the six ship fleet.

? Assistant to the DPA & CSO in all matters relating to Safety & Security.



V.Ships Leisure UK Marine Manager Security 2006 – 2009

? Fleet Security Manager for all aspects of shipboard security for a fleet of up to 34 cruise ships and ferries

? Responsible for the effective implementation of the ISPS Code on all the managed vessels.

? Well versed in regulations for multiple Flag States

? An active representative for the clientele at the Cruise Line Industry Association

? Responsible for the production of Ship Security Assessments & Ship Security Plans for newly managed ships.

? Certified Auditor, able to conduct all Internal Company Security Audits.

? Converse and work with the Recognized Security Organizations.

? Conduct and perform port advances and ground support for the clients in high risk areas

? Effective liaison with Port & Public Authorities

? Converse with Local & International Law Enforcement Agencies, such as Metropolitan Police, FBI, USCG & Interpol.

? Responsible for the delivery and certification of safety training of crewmembers in the cruise and ferry industry in accordance with all STCW 95 Regulations.

? Designing and producing STCW 95 courses in the following: Personal Survival, Crowd Management, Crisis Management, Fire Fighting & Prevention, Accident Prevention, Security protocol & procedures.



Royal Caribbean International, Miami FL Safety Officer 2001 - 2005

? Responsible for safety, fire fighting / prevention and personal survival training of crew of over 1100

? Overall responsibility of ship’s emergency plan and maintenance and training of this plan

? STCW certified trainer for all new hire crew in safety, crowd management, crisis management and personal survival.

? Preparation of all accident reports for the Company Lawyers.

? Assisting the Chief Officer in the implementation of the ISM Code.
